2007

SUPER BOWL WINNERS

Junior Division - Cowboys over Jets

Senior Division - Chargers over Colts

NFL Division - Chargers over Ravens

Pro Division - Dolphins over Titans

NFL Division - Chargers over Ravens

Dairy Queen Chargers 12 Ravens 0
The Chargers received the opening kickoff and quickly went down the field with some nice throws from QB Nick Alonzo to Andy Rohloff, Harrison Hill, Freddie White and Ryan Clark. Kayla Lopez then ran for twenty yards setting up a perfect pass from Nick Alonzo to the back of the endzone to Andy Rohloff. The Ravens would then stop the extra point. Chargers 6 Ravens 0
The Ravens then got the ball and QB Wyatt Hawes had some nice throws to Jay Delarosa and Ralphie Tardi but the Chargers Ryan Clark stepped in front of a Hawes pass intercepting the ball and running for twenty yards. Both defenses battled it out with the Chargers Freddie White and Diego Rackauskas putting pressure on Hawes all day with 8 QB sacks. The score stayed the same with under two minutes left in the half when Nick Alonzo hooked up with Ryan Clark on a thirty yard pass down to the ten yard line. The Ravens didn’t buckle with some big stops by Tyler Johnson, Jared Weaver and Madison Mihok keeping the score the same. The Ravens received the ball in the second half and went down the field when Nick Alonzo stepped in front of a deep pass in the endzone intercepting the ball. The Chargers Adam Wells, Anthony Giufredda and Gregory Cunningham continued giving the Ravens problems with some big flag pulls. On the next Ravens offensive series, Nick Alonzo tipped a pass and Andy Rohloff intercepted the ball. The Chargers welcomed back Hunter Masi who was out most of the year with an injury. The Ravens never gave up and with 5 minutes left in the game drove down the field to the Chargers 5 yard line. Wyatt Hawes threw in the endzone when the pass was tipped by a Raven receiver and Nick Alonzo dove and intercepted another pass. On the next play, Harrison Hill ran 60 yards giving the Chargers a 12-0 lead and the 2007 Super Bowl Championship. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding year!!!!!!!!

Pro Division - Dolphins over Titans

The Dolphins won the Superbowl by beating the Titans by a score of 30-14. The Titans played tough, led by Matt Kriechman with some nifty running, and Gregory El-Hage pulling down some nice catches in traffic. Titans Brittney Kendig and Craig Hutchinson put pressure on the Dolphin QB all day. The day though, belonged to the Dolphins. David Webb led this team to victory, in what was truly a 'Team' victory. Everyone played a part in this great season. Robert Clark sealed the win with an interception return for a touchdown, in his final game. Webb made plays all year long. Ricky Musumeci, the league's best kicker, also had several touchdown catches and played great defense. Tyler Avery came on strong with his running and was a big help. Nick Frank, playing injured most of the year, had big plays when needed. Nick Greco was solid on defense all year, and made some great runs for touchdowns. William 'Seabiscuit' Bryant, the teams most improved player, had a great season. Chris Draws, played well and had his best game in a play-off win over the Raiders. Matt Kenny was steady and solid all season long. P.J. Bolling rounds out the team, with his ability to do it all. P.J. has always been solid on defense, but this season added great catching skills and showed off his strong arm while filling in at QB. This team had success because there was no star player that everything revolved around. Anyone, at anytime, could and did step up in to the spotlight and shine. Coaching is not a right, it's a privilege. It has been not only a privilege, but a joy for me and the coaching staff to spend time with your children. They are very special. Thank you for the opportunity.
