PeeWee Bears-Dolphins

The Bears capped off a fantastic season with another outstanding game to finish like champions. Lucas Musibay, Ryan Gilliespie and Sean Ortiz had the Dolphins pinned back all game. Sabestian Lauriello had a big run that set up Kevin Vansciver for a 50 yard TD run Colby Rohloff added the extra point. After a big kick off return by Nicholas Rackauskas, Skylar Pearcey air it out to John James Yancey who ran it to the one yard line setting up Matthew Collier for the TD. It was a terrific year coaching these kids and I would like to thank the kids parents, my coaches and the league for running such a great program.

The Bucs gave their best effort on Wednesday but came up short. The first half saw a 30 yard reception by Andrew Tirado from QB Jason Strong. The drive was capped off by a 5 yard QB sneak. Caden Cherico connected on a few passes from scrimmage as well as making a first down catch. Jake Collins and Alejandro Rubio had several solid runs in the second half. Kyle Tobey also pulled in a reception in the second half. Defensively., despite the strong offensive performance by the Panthers, Ray Wincko, Jason Strong, Kyle Tobey, and Alejandro Rubio, and Jake Collins all managed crucial flag grabs. The Bucs had a great season with everyone getting a chance to sharpen their skills, learn, and have fun. Go Bucs! Congrats to the Panthers for a great performance. Good luck in the playoffs.

The Pee Wee Lions and Steelers played a rematch this Saturday aftenoon and the Lions came ready to play. Their roar was heard loud and clear. Lead by touchdown run of 45 yards by Nicolas Giglio, 40 yards by Marlee Fray, and 65 yards by Logan Clyatt the offense was rolling. Alec Weaver scored his first point of the season with an awesome run to the end zone on an extra point play. He followed it up with a great flag pull. Jackson Campbell ran a guard sneak for 40 yards and had several diving flag pulls to lead a defense that had Marlee, Logan, Nicolas, Alec, Joey, Guyverson, Jake, and Jason determined to play well. The Pee Wee Lions saved their best for last. Coach Terry would like to thank Ms. Maria, Coach Brian, Coach Jim, and Coach Dick as well as all the Pee Wee Lions for a GREEEEAAAAT year!

Junior

October 15th
Jr. Jets 28- Texans 0
Tomas Quintero, Charlie Messina and Michael Schuler scored touchdowns. Joseph Amoroso made an incredible catch off a tipped pass for a two point conversion. The entire Defense came out to play.

DynaMark Services Dolphins 12 Bears 6

The wind was blowing hard this night but that did not stop the passing game. The Dolphins opened it up with passes to James and to Braydon. Braydon eventually scored first and then the defense had to try their best to stop the Bears who put up a terrific drive to make the game even at six. When the Bears went for their extra point it was denied by James who leaped to deflect the ball. Now it being the 4th quarter The Dolphins charged down the field to eventually handoff to braydon who made another great touchdown. With just under two minutes left in the game the Dolphins held strong with an aggressive deffensive stand led by Coop Juan and Josh.

Bucs 13 Packers 0
The UPS Store Bucs won their first playoff game of the 2007 season by defeating the Packers 13 - 0. The game was highlighted by several exciting offensive plays. In the first half, Jason Strong scored on a 20 QB scramble from scrimmage. Andrew Tirado followed this up with an incredible 40 yard weaving run through the Packers defense. Cade Baker then found his way into the endzone for the extra point. The Bucs had several other notable offensive plays including a 40 run by Jake Collins who twisted and twirled his way through the secondary. Caden Cherico had a great game as quarterback, center, and receiver - completing several passes, snapping the ball flawlessly, and being on the receiving end of a pass. Kyle Tobey, Alejandro Rubio, Ray Wincko and Michael Tursi all put in great efforts with solid runs from scrimmage. Brandon Godinez gave a solid performance on offense and defense. Throughout the game the Bucs defense held tough with great flag grabs by every player on the team! Special recognition goes to Michael Tursi for several crucial grabs that prevented the Packers from scoring. The Bucs are geared up for their challenge on Wednesday.

It was a tough loss for the Packers who put in a great effort with several long drives and tough defense. Nick White and Justin Conte lead the flag pulling with Nicholas Montgomery, Sean Montgomery, Dylan Sawyer pulling flags as well as the rest of the Packers D. Joshua Taylor-Wilson Led the Packers to 2 long runs and Dylan Sawyer with a long run as well and a few nice passes. Dean Wentworth had nice catch with a nice run add to the end of the catch. Andrew Parker, Jake Gajus, and Christian Balatselos did good on the offensive side of the ball. However it wasn't enough to beat the Bucs. All the Packers had fun this year and tried their best. GO PACKERS! Congrats to the Bucs.

October 17th
Jr. Jets 14- Ravens 6 in an awsome Defensive game by both teams. For the Jet's special Defensive mention to Conner Elsass, Justin Fray, Mario Badia and Alex Skirvin. Jordan Rito caught a bullet pass in the endzone for a two point conversion.

Panther 20 Bucs 6

Congrats to the Panthers for a great performance. Good luck in the playoffs. The Junior Panthers game against the Bucs on Wednesday night was a tough one. The Bucs never gave up and played hard down to the very end. The Panthers really came together as a team and played there best game of the season. It was a complete team effort from every player.

Unfortunately on Sat we came up against a very disciplined Cowboys team. It was a defensive struggle the whole game and the Cowboys came out on top. I want to thank the panthers team mom, coaches, and players for a great season. I would also like to thank the Coconut Creek Football league for all there time and effort.

Cowboys 28 - Patriots 6
The Junior Cowboys, sponsord by Ike Carter's Pools, defeated the Patriots by a final score of 28 - 6. Carson Ostrum opened the scoring for the Cowboys after he returned an interception deep into Patriots territory and went in for a touchdown on a QB sneak. Later in the first half Steven Mercado took an interception return over 40 yards for a Cowboy touchdown and Ryan Mann pulled in the 2-pt coversion to put the Cowboys up 14 - 0. In the second half Carson Ostrum connected with Morgan Hawes on a deep touchdown pass and Kyle Kaplan pulled in the 2-pt coversion. Kyle Kaplan and Carson Ostrum also connected on the final touchdown pass for the Cowboys to give them a 28 - 0 lead. The Patriots scored on a long kick return in second half by Nico Scheesley to bring the final score to 28 -6. Special mention goes to the Cowboys defense with 5 interceptions ---one from Kyle Kaplan, one from Carson Ostrum and three by Steven Mercado. Both teams gave an incredible effort in this game.
Highlights from Saturday 10/20/07

D.M.S.& S. Inc. Jr. Jet's 18- Jr. Giants 14

The Jet's advanced to the Superbowl by beating the previously undefeated mighty Giants 18-14 . Michael Schuler scrambled for three touchdowns. Although the entire team played outstanding Defense there were key Defensive flag pulls by Justin Fray, Charlie Messina, Joseph Amoroso and Conner Elsass. The Jet's won three games in six days to advance to the Superbowl. For the Giant's Brandon Deering had two touchdown runs and threw for a two point conversion to Jason Wieber. Jacob Fine and Deshaw Moss applied pressure all day on Defense.

Cowboys 8 - Panthers 0

The Junior Cowboys, sponsord by Ike Carter's Pools, defeated the Panthers by a final score of 8 - 0. Steven Mercado raced around the right end of the Panthers defense on a 20-yard run to set the Cowboys up on the goal line. Carson Ostrum then went in for the touchdown on a QB sneak and connected with Brandon Kerr on the 2-pt conversion to give the Cowboys an 8 - 0 lead. The entire game was a defensive struggle with neither the Panthers nor the Cowboys giving up any ground the rest of the way. Both teams gave an incredible effort in this game with great plays from Aaron Weldy, Nick Padilla and Mark Vansciver for the Panthers and Jake Caramat, Morgan Hawes and Brandon Kerr for the Cowboys.

 

Senior

One to One Physical Therapy Chargers, 28 Dolphins 6
The Chargers scored on the first drive on the strong arm of Connor Rafuse. Rafuse hit Alex Lauriello for an 18 yard catch and run for TD. Rafuse hit Kyle Livesay for the 2 pt pass. 8-0 Bolts. The Dolphins Garrett Hiott toke a hand off around the left end for a 55 yard TD run to make the score 8-6 Bolts. On the Chargers next drive, Lauriello hit Livesay on a 15 yard TD pass with ex pt no good. 14-6 Bolts. After the Dolphins were stopped on down, the Chargers air attack was at it again with a 22 yard TD pass from Rafuse to Lauriello. Rafuse hit Brandon Chung for the 2pt pass. 22-6 Bolts. The last score was a TD pass from Lauriello to Livesay from 12 yards out. 28-6 Bolts. Great job by the Chargers O-line of William Coplien, Walter Rodriguez, and Liam Eagan to keep the QB's protected. The Chargers D-line of Tyler Powell, Austin Phelps, and Mikal Powell had a great game stopping the Dolphins fast running game.

PRO

In another thrilling PRO game that went right down to the finish, the Pro Titans came back to defeat the Pro Vikings 18-14. The Titans opened the scoring on a perfect fade pass from Mike Messano to Gregory El-Hage. The Vikings countered right before the half ended when Wade Shaughnessy ran in for a score and then converted the PAT to close the half with an 8-6 lead. In the second half, Garrett Prock took the Titans kickoff all the way for a TD to extend the Viking lead to 14-6. Then late in the fourth quarter, with the Vikings driving deep in Titan territory, Messano made the key play of the game when he intercepted a Viking pass and took it 70 yards for the score. But the Vikings stopped the Titans PAT attempt and held the lead at 14-12. But then, with under two minutes remaining in the game, the Titans finished a key drive when Matt Kreichman found El-Hage open for a catch and run that put the Titans ahead for good at 18-14. The Titan Defense held on and was able to stop the last Vikings Drive to seal the win and advance to the Super Bowl. For the Vikings, Drew Danner played an Outstanding defensive game with numerous flag pulls and constant pressure on the Titans QB's. The Titans D. was helped by fine play of LB's Ryan Sloan and Anthony Petrone. Congrats to both Teams on a very exciting game.

The Dolphins are going to the Super Bowl !! The Dolphins were in a tight 14-14 game at halftime against the Raiders. The Raiders D.J. Boharic made a great grab in traffic on a deep pass, and came down at the one yard line. QB Armondo Casteneda then took the next play in around the left side for a QB keeper, and punched it in the endzone. The Dolphins came out strong in the second half and rolled the score up to the final count which was Dolphins 30 Raiders 14. Again, this was a total team effort. David Webb led the Fins at QB showing why he has earned the nickname "Swivel Hips". Nick Greco caught a nice pass streaking down the sideline for a big first down. Ricky Musumeci caught a 20 yard TD pass. Robert Clark found the end zone again but made some super catches in traffic. Tyler Avery showed his flashy moves from the RB spot and made a nice grab in the back of the end zone for a two point conversion. Will Bryant had another solid day at Center. Nick Frank played injured, but caught a two point conversion on a tipped ball on a nice catch. Chris Draws came up big on defense. With the score tied, Draws stepped in front of a deflected Casteneda pass and picked it off. Draws also came up with some big pass deflections to help the Dolphin cause. The Dolphins are going to their 3rd Super Bowl in the last 4 years. Sunday November 4th is the super showdown against the Titans.
