Pee Wee Dolphins vs. Pee Wee Jets

Another beautiful Saturday for football! These two teams played tough all day. Joseph had a great run for a touchdown and several nice flag pulls. Connor looked fast today with an excellent run. Angel was his usual self with a nice run and played well on defense. Nicholas made some great blocks, ran hard, and looked good on defense. Tyler had his best run of the year and played well on defense. Jeremy was his speedy self with his long runs and running down Jets to pull flags all day. Adam had a great game both offense and defense. He had many flag pulls and some nice runs. Hayden ran up the middle and made some nice plays on defense. Cole returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and was all over the field on defense. Nolen had a nice run for a touchdown and looked good on defense.

Pee Wee Colts

It was another hot day on the field, but the Colts still had a great time pulling flags and scoring touchdowns. It was a great day for Jacob Larue who had a great run for a touchdown and his first one for the season...Yea Jacob! Adam Yasin was right along side of him later on in the game with a 40 yard run which allowed him to score as well. Chrisitan Yancey got the extra point.

The Colts did an amazing job on defense! Honorable mention to Nicholas Yancey who came out of the back field and ran down the Raiders offensive player by pulling the flag and preventing a touchdown. Great effort and hustle!! Christian Yancey also did very well on defensive by having an amazing flag pull on the 5 yard line keeping the Raiders from scoring.

Despite the start for the Raiders with not having a full team they did really well holding their own. They played hard, and played really well as a team. Their offense ran good plays resulting in a touchdown.

Both teams played with a lot of heart!

Junior Division

Steelers 14 Dolphins 0
The Steelers looked to keep their winning streak alive as the Dolphins had upset on their mind. The Steelers offense wasted little time on the first drive moving the ball down the field. The high light of the drive was a diving catch by Colby Rohloff which set up a 22 yard touchdown run by Matthew Collier. On the extra point Kevin VanSciver found Collier in the endzone for an early 8-0 lead. The Steelers defense came to play and shut the Dolphins down forcing them to punt. On the next series the Steelers got excellent blocking from Kiera Egan, Joey Pumariega and Jason Bolanos to free up Jaylen Wallace who found the outside and rumbled down the sideline for a 25 yard touchdown. The extra point was no good. Later in the first half the Steelers offense looked poised to again advance the ball when the Dolphins Zachary Hammann interception gave his team one last chance to score before the half. After some nice runs the Dolphins Joe Muscat found Kyle Cox for a long pass reception. Unfortunately time ran out and the score at the half was 14-0 Steelers. The second half turned into a defensive battle. The Dolphins turned up the heat and made it very difficult for the Steelers offense to mount any type of drive. The Dolphins were lead by Kane Tobey and Jordon Wong with multiple flag pulls. When the Steelers offense did put together a consistent drive they saw it stopped by another Hammann interception. The Steelers “D” was lead by Sebastian Dziamalek, Julian Toledo, Rohloff, and Emerson Speziale with multiple flag pulls and Nick Ruggieri with several defended passes.

The Raiders punted off again just before halftime and the Eagle's special teams helped themselves to great field position and then a pass from Eagle Cory Grossman

to David Duboin for another 6 points and a 12-0 lead as the Raiders denied the Eagles another extra point.

The Raiders took the ensuing kick-off, led by Cal Rugare and ran the ball back 22 yards just past mid field to set up Jacob LLanos who took the side line for 21 more. On the next play from 10 yards out, QB Dusty Snyder took the ball down the right side for 6 points and followed up with his own extra point to bring the game to within 6. Score 12-7 at the half.

Giants 6 Steelers 0

After a disappointing last second loss to the suddenly unstoppable Patriots, the Giants bounced back with a huge 6-0 nail biting win over the first place Steelers. With rock solid defense, timely special teams play and shear determination, the Giants were able to record their first shut out of the season and beat a deeply talented and well coached Steeler squad. Midway through the first half on a fourth and long, the Steeler QB heaved a long pass along the right side but was picked off by Giant Linebacker Shannon Doherty who out leaped the intended receiver to record her second INT. off the year. Donning her QB hat, Doherty, on a fourth and long, looked right and found a wide open Timmy Manning who caught her pass and streaked down the sideline for a sixty yard touchdown and the games only score. Solid blocking from Michael Cordova, Keith Lowe and Christopher Mendez gave her the time needed to complete the pass. From that point on, both offenses were able to move the ball between the twentys only to be foiled by fierce resistance in the red zone from defenders determined not to let each other score. The Giant "D" was led by Jessica Odum, Shannon Doherty, Timmy Manning (5 flags each), Joey Adorno, Nick Giglio and Kai Gamperl (3 Flags each) and defensive MVP Samantha Stout (6 flags) who saved the day with multiple pass deflections, at least three touchdown saving flag pulls and blanketed Steeler receivers all over the field. Kicker Nathan Pratt and punter Timmy Manning each played a pivotal role in the all important battle of field position. Both had long and well placed boots that forced the Steelers offense to start deep in their end, helping the Giant cause, and to preserve the win. Next up for the Giants are their cross town rival J-E-T-S.

The mighty Lions were hungry for a fight and the feisty Ravens were ready. The Ravens struck first as John James Yancey found paydirt early and Blake Thomas scored the extra points. The Ravens took over on downs and scored again as swivel hips John James made his way through the defense. After the half Skylar Pearcy found Matthew Simpson in the end zone with a quick strike.
